Welcome to my blog. Peace and blissful security be on you.*

I am a Muslim, a somewhat mature undergraduate history major, and God willing** a future historian on early Islamic history.

On this blog, I would like to acquaint my readers with a range of topics mostly related to Islam and related to the question of how correctly Islam is perceived. I will try my best to provide references to related material and evidence when necessary.

Thank you for visiting. I am looking forward to seeing you here again.

Here are two quick notes about some phrases that I have used just above.

* Peace and blissful security be on you: This is a translation of the usual Muslim greeting, which the Prophet Muhammad (blissful security and blessings of God be on him) told us to adopt according to some of his famous and authentic sayings. This is as-salamu alaykum in Arabic. The word salaam in the Arabic phrase means peace and security from all evils.

** God willing: In Classical Arabic it is in shaa Allah, i.e. if God wants it, if God wills so, God willing. It is another phrase that Muslims are supposed to use frequently when they are talking about what they will do in the future.
